Batter's Eye Live

Batter’s Eye Live is a multi-panel streaming viewer that lets you watch multiple MLB games at once, with an intelligent auto-mode that follows your watchlisted players’ at-bats.

Layouts

Section titled “Layouts”

Choose from several viewing layouts:

  • 1 panel — single game, full screen
  • 2 panels — side by side
  • 4 panels — 2x2 grid
  • 6 panels — 3x2 grid
  • Featured — one large panel with smaller panels alongside

Switch layouts using the buttons in the top control bar.

Picking Games

Section titled “Picking Games”

Click any empty panel or the game picker button to open the game selection drawer. Games are organized by status:

  • Live — currently in progress
  • Pregame — about to start
  • Upcoming — later today
  • Final — completed games

Select a game to assign it to the focused panel.

Auto-Mode

Section titled “Auto-Mode”

Auto-mode intelligently switches streams to follow your watchlisted players and favorite teams when they’re batting.

When auto-mode detects a watchlisted player coming up to bat in a game you’re not currently watching, it automatically swaps one of your panels to that game’s stream. A toast notification tells you which player triggered the switch.

Toggle auto-mode with the MANUAL/AUTO switch in the control bar, or press A.

How It Decides

Auto-mode prioritizes:

  1. Watchlisted players currently at bat
  2. Watchlisted players on deck or in the hole
  3. Favorite team games with activity

It also has a stability timer to prevent rapid switching — once a stream switches, it stays for a minimum period before switching again.

Player Badges

Section titled “Player Badges”

When a game is showing, player badges appear on the stream cell showing your watchlisted players in that game. Each badge displays:

  • Player name
  • Current status (at bat, on deck, in the hole, on base)

Toggle badges with the B key.

Deep Linking

Section titled “Deep Linking”

The Live page supports URL parameters for direct linking:

  • ?game={id} — open with a specific game
  • ?team={abbrev} — select that team’s broadcast
  • ?title={AWY+@+HME} — display a custom title

The Gameday page uses these links to open games directly in Live when a stream server is connected.
