Gameday
Gameday is a real-time scoreboard and player tracker that shows you every MLB game happening today, with a focus on the players you care about. It surfaces your watchlist and fantasy roster players who are currently in games, showing their live status, stats, and how close they are to batting.
Today’s Games
Section titled “Today’s Games”The main scoreboard shows all of today’s MLB games, organized by status:
- Live — games currently in progress, with inning indicator, score, base runners, and outs
- Warmup — games about to start (pregame warmups or delayed starts)
- Upcoming — scheduled games that haven’t started yet, showing start time
- Final — completed games with final scores
Each game card displays team logos, abbreviations, and the current score. Live games also show a baseball diamond with base runner positions.
A count badge next to the “Today’s Games” heading tells you how many games are currently live.
My Players
Section titled “My Players”The My Players section appears at the top of the page when you’re signed in. It tracks two groups of players:
- My Roster — players on your fantasy roster in the currently selected league
- Watchlist — players you’ve added to your watchlist from the Players page
When both groups have players, watchlist entries are further split into Hitters and Pitchers subgroups.
Each player card shows:
- Player photo with a colored status dot
- Status badge indicating their current game situation (At Bat, On Deck, In the Hole, On Base, Pitching, On Defense, Due Up)
- Game score with team logos and current inning
- Stat line — batting line (e.g., “2-4, 1 HR, 2 RBI”) or pitching line (e.g., “6.0 IP, 8 K, 1 ER, 92 P”)
- Ball-strike count and base runner diamond for active games
- Context info — batters see the opposing pitcher (“vs K. Hendricks”), other players see who’s currently at bat
Player Status Priority
Section titled “Player Status Priority”Player cards are sorted by how relevant their current status is, so the most important action is always at the top:
- Pitching
- At Bat
- On Deck
- In the Hole
- On Base
- On Defense
- Due Up (with position in lineup, e.g., “Due Up 4th”)
Within the same status group, players closer to batting appear first.
Empty States
Section titled “Empty States”If you’re not signed in, the section prompts you to sign in. If you have no watchlist or roster, it directs you to the Players page to add players. If your players aren’t in any active games, a message lets you know.
Date Navigation
Section titled “Date Navigation”Arrow buttons at the top let you browse to previous or future dates to see the schedule. When viewing a date other than today:
- The scoreboard shows the Schedule view with game times and matchups
- The My Players section is hidden (live player tracking only works for today)
- A “Today” button appears to quickly return to the current date
Watching Games
Section titled “Watching Games”Every game card is clickable:
- With a stream server configured — clicking a live or warmup game opens it directly in Batter’s Eye Live in single-view mode. Player cards link to the broadcast for their team.
- Without a stream server — clicking opens the game on MLB.tv in a new tab.
Game cards show a play icon when linking to Live, or an external link icon when linking to MLB.tv.
Real-Time Polling
Section titled “Real-Time Polling”Gameday polls the backend for live game data automatically:
- Every 15 seconds when games are active or in pregame
- Every 60 seconds when all games are finished or no games are in progress
- Schedule data refreshes every 5 minutes
A polling indicator in the top-left shows a pulsing green dot when games are active, along with how recently the data was updated (e.g., “Updated 5s ago”).
